Plan around the openings
Keep balcony access and door swings clear. Check curtain positions, wardrobe shutters and furniture depth against the actual windows and circulation in your layout.
Check building requirements

- Compare your apartment with its agreed handover specification. Note the flooring, doors, kitchen cabinetry and bathroom fittings already supplied.
- Keep photographs and a list of items to clarify with the builder. Builder inclusions can differ between apartments and purchase agreements.
Decide what stays in each room
Keep, replace or add. Make those choices visible.
What to check
- Mark the rooms you want designed. List existing beds, sofas, wardrobes and appliances you intend to keep, with their dimensions.
- Separate new furniture from replacement work. Replacing flooring, doors or bathroom finishes may also need removal and preparation in the scope.
